 *_Youth Leader, Mohamed Bangura Escapes Untimely Death*

It wawasreported that on the 16th March 2021, Mohamed Bangura who happened to be a vibrant Youth Leader at the Jui Community was attacked by a renowned politician of the current SLPP led government of President Bio. The reasons, they say was due to the fact that he was not willing to join the ruling government  and that he has been exposing the human rights abuses, unlawful arrests and detention of the main opposition members, summary dismissal of Civil servants from their respective jobs, killing of innocent Sierra Leoneans, among others by this current dispensation.This Writer was duly informed that his house was burnt down and properties carted away. And all those ugly events unfolded on the day for his Natal Day. He was left with no better option than to flee to a foreign land inorder to save his Life, as he was desperately in search of by the powers that be.

In another encounter on the 16th March 2021,on the birthday of the Youth Activist- Mohamed Bangura. They decided to organize some basic birthday party for him in celebration of his outstanding political activism over the years within the constituency. The Mammy Queen of the Jui community together with the District Coordinator of Nacoverg (WAR)

Samuel Olufeme Babatunde  Davies

 and the Youth Chairman. The Coordinator met him delivering speech and later got annoyed with him, accused him of making inciting statements to the youths to create pandemonium against the SLPP led government of President Bio.  It was discovered by reliable sources that Bangura had got confrontation with the District Coordinator since 2018 Parliamentary and Presidential elections when he contested for a Member of Parliament but lost the election. 

This Writer was also informed that Davies later called on the Inspector General of Police concerning Bangura's birthday celebration he refered to as orchestrated activity to cause mayhem in the Jui community. Thereafter, two trucks full of Police Officers arrived at the field where the meeting was taking place. Upon their arrival, the youths got panic and told the Political Activist, Mohamed to run for his Life but he insisted that he was not going anywhere and that he wanted to know the reason for the huge presence of the Police at that peaceful and exciting scene. He says they gathered in a public place enjoying themselves and that did not warrant Police presence. Eye witnesses revealed that Police personnel asked him for the script of the speech he was delivering but Bangura refuted that there was nothing like that. Right at that point they started beating him mercilessly of which the youths resisted that they will not allow them to treat their Leader as a common criminal, whom in actual fact has not committed any offence. Whilst the fighting was ongoing between the Youths and the Police, this Media house was informed that Mohamed sustained injury on the last toe of his right foot, two teeth were broken and suffered great pains. The Youths they say escaped with him before he would have been killed by those heartless and unprofessional Police Officers. Bangura was secretly taken to an unknown location for his safety.

This Writer was informed that the youths succeeded taking him out to a safe haven but the Police reacted by issuing a Warrant of Arrest for Mohamed Bangura. Unfortunately, his house burnt down to ashes on the same day. It was discovered that his right destination was not known up till the moment the incident was covered.
